Joy

I am having a hard time trying to organize all the fun we have had! Should I organize chronologically? Or categorize by activity: zoo days, Lagoon days, Discovery Museum days, Dinosaur museum days, bouncy house days, park days, fun in the yard days, experiment in the kitchen, and art. Or categorize by friends: Alex days, Zane and Max days, triplet days.

I read a book a year ago about the 13 joys of childhood. Teaching Children Joy is the book they base the teachings of Joyschool on. I tried to host our own little joyschool with Jack's Primary class, but it didn't work out too well. Jack wanted special attention from me during the joyschool and it turned out to be too much work. I taught it for five weeks before giving up. A year later I realize that Jack and I have studied all the joys, just not in a larger group. Jack and one friend at a time have explored all the catagories. I could categorize by each of the joys we have tried to experience: joy of the earth, joy of the body, joy of creativity, joy of hard work, etc.

Hmmm, I have to start somewhere! I guess I will start chronologically going backwards and label the posts by the joy they cover. This is a big project!! Here goes!
